What? Seriously this was written and included in the script? Whenever shows do this they undermine the sincerity and likableness of their characters. He's told her he can't tell her but he would if he could, and she responds to this by asking Barry if he thinks Eddie's cheating on her. First lesson of dating someone: If your significant other is threatening you with a break up over something like this, it wasn't meant to be. Iris acts like a spoiled child, threatening to break up with Eddie if he doesn't tell her what he's apparently hiding from her. This leads to some very awful relationship drama that the show would be better off distancing itself from as quickly as possible. In any case, Eddie even comments on the absurdity of keeping Iris in the dark while pretty much everybody else is in on the secret, but that doesn't lead to anyone actually telling her anything. On the other, Barry really needs to tell Iris who he is, and that was a pretty cool way to do it. On the one hand, I was very nearly ready to boycott all future episodes when Cisco was killed.
I like what the show did with the two splitting time events recently-the first in which Cisco is killed by Wells (nooooooo!!!!) and Barry reveals his secret identity to Iris the second where all of that is retconned. Wells, also, and that's a pretty obvious mistake also. He convinces Barry not to include Cisco and Caitlin in the investigation of Dr. I see this as a pretty contrived set-up for a falling out between Eddie and Barry, even though it's Joe who is being stupid and ridiculous more than anyone. Now that she's dating Eddie Thawne, apparently Eobard's ancestor, her ignorance and his knowledge are coming between them. At first, Cisco doesn’t think the speed cork sphere thing works, but we see Barry appear on a rural road naked and immediately pass out.The same applies to Iris, who should have been one of the first people to know. Cisco recruits Caitlin to help, who is now working at a bar and doesn’t use her powers (though I’m convinced there’s still something suspicious about her).

Apparently they only catch one out of three metahumans they encounter. In Barry’s absence, Kid Flash and Vibe are saving Central City (well, at least they are trying).
